Upcoming Game Info

When is it?
February 27th, until about 7 or 8pm.

Where is it?
Well be playing the game at the frame shop, there's plenty of space, right near food, we're closed on Sundays, and this way the house is spared being invaded by crazy teenagers pretending to be fantasy heroes!
Here's the address details.
Forte' Framing and Gallery
2301 W. North Avenue, Chicago IL, 60647

How the heck do I get there and back again?
Well, there are a couple different options.
1.) Have a parent drive you.  This isn't particularly convenient seeing as how it's the city.
2.) Take the Metra train (BNSF Line) to Union Station in the morning and Jessica, Rachel, and I will be waiting with on the other end, pick you up, and drive you to the game.  Even in the worst traffic, I'm only 15 minutes from Union Station.  This is the easiest route since several of our players live in North Aurora.  If parents are worried about sending kids alone on the train, we can organize for everyone to meet up and ride together.  Student tickets cost less than 6 dollars round trip and it's far easier than trying to drive in city traffic.  Jessica and Rachel have said that if people are nervous about doing the train, they'd be willing to ride out, meet up, and share the ride in.  Kids can be sent home all on the same train and have parents waiting to pick them up at a set, organized, time.
3.) Study hard, get your permit, and drive yourself.  I'm pretty sure none of you can do this yet, but eventually it'll be an option!

What do I need to bring?

  1. Notepad and Pencils
  2. Set of polyhedral dice.  After the first game I can show you what you need and if you don't get them, I've always got spare sets.
  3. A few bucks in case you want to get snacks or something other than the food we'll be having (likely pizza).
  4. Your imagination.  Leave this at home and you'll be in big trouble.

So what else?
Okay, now if anyone needs to talk to me, or if parents need to talk to me, here's my info.  If you're looking to know more details about how the role-playing game will be run, what your kid can expect, organize the transportation, or anything, don't hesitate to call.

Work Phone # 773 276 8011  This is the best number to reach me.  It's my frame shop, I'm here from 11am-7pm Monday - Saturday.  Either Jill, my wife, or I will answer the phone.  You can leave a message here as well.
Home Phone # 773 772 7425  This number is more difficult to reach me at, but if the work one doesn't work, feel free to leave a message here.

What's the schedule?
Role-playing is serial, like a comic book.  Just like comics come out we're going to try and play once a month.  The last Sunday of the month.  We'll do what we can to keep this, but we're flexible and, depending on everyone's schedule, games may shift around a bit.
